China has achieved a significant milestone in its telecommunications infrastructure, with the number of 5G base stations exceeding 4.1 million, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. This expansion includes a recent deployment in Qingyuan, Guangdong, where China Mobile, in collaboration with other firms, completed the country's first integrated low-altitude flight application network test. The network now covers a 20 square kilometer area for tourism activities, ensuring continuous communication within the low-altitude airspace below 600 meters. The 5G network is also extending into rural areas, achieving comprehensive coverage across towns, and has been integrated into 80 sectors of the national economy, reflecting its growing application breadth and depth. Additionally, the Chinese government is actively exploring future developments in telecommunications, including research on 6G frequency requirements.
