China has announced the discovery of over 20 million metric tons of copper resources on the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau, marking a notable advancement in mineral exploration. The China Geological Survey, under the Ministry of Natural Resources, reported that this discovery includes four major copper mining bases: Yulong, Duolong, Julong–Jiama, and Xiongcun-Zhunuo. The total projected potential for copper resources in the region is estimated to reach 150 million metric tons.
