US Imposes Sanctions on Facilitators of Iran's Missile and Drone Programs in Iran, China, and Hong Kong
Jul 30, 2024, 03:05 PM
The United States has imposed sanctions on five individuals and seven entities that the Treasury Department identified as facilitators for Iran's missile and drone programs. These sanctions, announced on Tuesday, target entities based in Iran, China, and Hong Kong, which have been accused of aiding Tehran’s ballistic missile and UAV procurement efforts. The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) within the U.S. Treasury Department announced the sanctions, highlighting that the sanctioned parties have facilitated procurements on behalf of subordinates of Iran’s Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics (MODAFL).
