Canada has announced the imposition of new tariffs on Chinese-made electric vehicles, aluminum, and steel. In response, China's Ministry of Commerce has declared plans to launch an anti-discrimination investigation into these tariffs. Additionally, China will initiate anti-dumping investigations into canola, rapeseed, and certain chemical imports from Canada. The Chinese government aims to safeguard the legitimate interests of its firms and has also stated it will take necessary measures, including initiating dispute settlement proceedings at the World Trade Organization (WTO).
