China's Premier Li Qiang will visit Australia from June 15 to 18, according to the Australian government. This visit marks the first time a Chinese Premier has visited Australia since 2017. Premier Li Qiang will be the most senior Chinese leader to visit Australia in seven years. The visit aims to improve ties between Canberra and Beijing and address remaining trade restrictions. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced that Premier Li Qiang will hold the Annual Leaders’ Meeting at Parliament House in Canberra during his trip. Li Qiang will arrive on Saturday, the Australian government said in a statement on Tuesday.
