Jul 16, 2024, 02:02 PM
A group of Houston-area restaurants, represented by The Buzbee Law Firm, has filed a class action lawsuit against CenterPoint Energy on July 15. The lawsuit, announced by attorney Tony Buzbee, alleges that CenterPoint Energy failed to adequately invest in infrastructure and respond to widespread power outages following Hurricane Beryl. More than 2.5 million homes and businesses lost power during the storm. The restaurants are collectively seeking over $100 million in damages.
