Arizona Cardinals Extend All-Pro Safety Budda Baker's Contract Through 2027 for $54M

The Arizona Cardinals have secured the services of All-Pro safety Budda Baker through the 2027 season with a three-year contract extension valued at $54 million, including $30 million guaranteed. The deal, which averages $18 million per year, marks the largest third contract for a safety in NFL history. Baker, a six-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro, has been with the Cardinals since being drafted in the second round in 2017. At 28 years old, Baker has been a consistent performer, earning seven Pro Bowl selections and two All-Pro nods. This season, he has recorded 142 tackles, nine tackles for loss, two sacks, and three passes defensed. The contract was negotiated by David Mulugheta of Athletes First.
