Jan 10, 2025, 05:02 PM
Brock Bowers, a rookie tight end for the Las Vegas Raiders, has been named to the Associated Press 2024 NFL All-Pro First Team, becoming the fourth rookie tight end to receive this honor since 1960. He joins a distinguished group that includes Jeremy Shockey (2002), Keith Jackson (1988), and Charlie Young (1973). In a competitive voting process, Bowers narrowly edged out San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle, receiving 101 points, which included 27 first-place votes, compared to Kittle's 88 points with 22 first-place votes. Bowers also set records for the most catches by a rookie and the most catches and receiving yards by a rookie tight end, and he was named to the Pro Bowl earlier this season.
