SEC Approves Options Trading for BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin ETF (IBIT)

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved options trading for BlackRock's spot Bitcoin ETF, known as the iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT). The SEC granted accelerated approval for the listing and trading of these options through Nasdaq ISE. This decision is expected to increase liquidity for IBIT and attract more traditional finance interest in Bitcoin-related products. BlackRock's IBIT is currently the 11th most liquid ETF in the U.S.
