SEC Advances NYSE Arca's Bitwise BTC and ETH ETF Listings Amid $1 Billion Inflows
Dec 11, 2024, 05:20 PM
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has advanced the New York Stock Exchange's (NYSE) filing to list the Bitwise Bitcoin and Ethereum Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs), marking a significant step for the crypto investment landscape. The proposed ETFs aim to offer investors exposure to both Bitcoin and Ethereum. Public feedback is now being sought on the decision. This move comes at a time when Bitcoin ETFs have seen consistent inflows, with $110.43 billion in assets under management (AUM) as of December 10, compared to $126.34 billion for Gold ETFs, representing 87.4% of the latter's size. Ethereum ETFs have also experienced notable inflows, with approximately $1 billion in the past week, although they are still underweight compared to Bitcoin ETFs.
