BJP Accuses Tejashwi Yadav of Stealing Taps, ACs from Deputy CM’s Patna Residence; RJD Denies Allegations
Oct 7, 2024, 10:26 AM
On Monday, Bihar's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) accused Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav of stealing government property while vacating his official residence in Patna. The BJP alleges that Yadav, who recently moved out of the Deputy Chief Minister's bungalow, removed items including taps, air conditioners, sofas, hydraulic beds, a badminton court mat, gym equipment, and an expensive washbasin. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary's personal assistant and caretakers reportedly confirmed the missing items. BJP spokesperson Ajay Alok stated, "This is not merely an accusation. It has been shown on camera that the AC was taken out, along with other items." Bihar BJP Media in-charge Danish Iqbal also highlighted the absence of furnishings and fixtures from the residence. The RJD has denied the allegations, with party representatives accusing the BJP of playing petty politics.
