Lando Norris secured pole position for the Spanish Grand Prix with a time of 1:11.383, narrowly beating Max Verstappen by 0.020 seconds. Verstappen's time was 1:11.403. This marks Norris's second career pole position, his first in 1000 days. Lewis Hamilton and George Russell will start in P3 and P4 respectively, with times of 1:11.701 and 1:11.703, making it three British drivers in the top four. Charles Leclerc will start in P5, and Carlos Sainz in P6. Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon from Alpine will start in P7 and P9, while Sergio Perez, who qualified P8, will take a three-place grid penalty. Oscar Piastri rounds out the top ten.
