Supreme Court Grants Interim Bail to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal After 90 Days in Jail
Jul 12, 2024, 05:16 AM
The Supreme Court of India has granted interim bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the money laundering case linked to the alleged excise policy scam. Kejriwal's plea challenging his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has been referred to a larger bench. Despite the interim bail, the Delhi CM will remain in Tihar Jail as he is also in custody in a related CBI case. The court noted that Kejriwal has suffered incarceration for over 90 days and emphasized that mere interrogation does not justify arrest.
