A chief manufacturing officer at Adani Group-backed Ambuja Cement in India's Chhattisgarh state has been arrested for allegedly attempting to bribe a government official. The anti-corruption vigilance sleuths in Odisha state apprehended the executive on Wednesday on charges of inducing a District Collector to receive a bribe. The officer was found with Rs 2 lakh in a sweet packet as part of the bribery attempt. This arrest is part of a broader crackdown on corruption within the state.
