A jury on Tuesday found three individuals guilty of crimes related to the 2018 shooting of 10-year-old Makiyah Wilson in Northeast D.C. The last three defendants, identified as two D.C. gang members and an associate, were convicted for their roles in the fatal shooting. The incident occurred when masked men indiscriminately sprayed bullets through a courtyard near an ice cream truck, resulting in the death of Wilson. Two gang members were found guilty of murder, while another was convicted of obstruction of justice. The U.S. Attorney’s Office confirmed the convictions.
