Elon Musk's xAI Launches Grok 2.0 and Mini on X with Image Generation

Elon Musk's artificial intelligence startup xAI has launched Grok 2.0 and Grok 2 mini, new AI models with advanced image generation capabilities. The models, available in beta on the X network, allow users to create images using FLUX.1 technology by Black Forest Labs. Grok 2.0 is accessible to X Premium and Premium+ subscribers and features a redesigned interface. It offers significant improvements over its predecessor, Grok-1.5, in areas such as reasoning, reading comprehension, and coding. The new model can generate images of public figures and copyrighted brands, sparking discussions on AI ethics and content moderation due to its largely uncensored capabilities. Grok is noted for its faster image generation compared to competitors. The API for Grok 2.0 will be available to developers later this month.
