VisitBCCI Announces Rs 1 Crore Aid for Anshuman Gaekwad's Cancer Treatment in London

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a financial aid of Rs 1 crore for former Indian cricketer Anshuman Gaekwad, who is battling blood cancer. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah instructed the immediate release of funds and personally spoke to Gaekwad's family to extend support. Gaekwad, who played 40 Tests and 15 ODIs for India, is currently receiving treatment in London. Kapil Dev has also voiced his support, urging the BCCI to create a system to take care of former players, especially those who represented the team when the board was not financially strong. Dev has offered to donate his pension to fund Gaekwad's treatment.
