Amazon Fined Up to $6 Million by California for Violating Warehouse Quotas Law
Jun 18, 2024, 07:18 PM
Amazon has been fined $5.9 million by California regulators for failing to comply with the state's Warehouse Quotas law. The e-commerce giant did not provide written performance quotas to employees at two warehouses in Southern California, violating the law a total of 59,017 times over a five-month investigation period. The California agency cited Amazon for not disclosing workplace productivity measures, an issue the company has faced scrutiny over in recent years. Amazon has responded by stating that it does not have a quota system in place. The fine amount was reported as $6 million by some sources.
