In Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, police have busted a gang involved in dealing counterfeit currency, resulting in the arrest of ten individuals. The operation led to the recovery of over Rs 5.5 lakh in fake notes and more than Rs 1 lakh in cash. Among those arrested is Rafi Khan, a national secretary of the Samajwadi Party, who allegedly ran the gang from Nepal. The police also seized illegal weapons, arms, and ammunition during the raid. The incident has sparked political controversy, with BJP MP Dushyant Gautam criticizing the Samajwadi Party, calling it a 'gang of criminals.' Samajwadi Party leader Sunil Singh Yadav has accused the BJP of conspiring to defame the party and its leader, Akhilesh Yadav.
