Former Ohio police officer Adam Coy was found guilty of murder in the 2020 shooting of Andre Hill, a 47-year-old unarmed Black man. Hill was holding a cellphone and keys when he was shot four times. The conviction marks the first time a Columbus police officer has been found guilty of murder for a death that occurred in the line of duty. Coy was also convicted of reckless homicide and felonious assault. The verdict was reached by an Ohio jury on Monday, and Coy faces at least 15 years in prison.
