Penn State defensive end Abdul Carter, a consensus All-American and the Big Ten's Defensive Player of the Year, has declared for the 2025 NFL Draft. Carter, who led the Big Ten with 11 sacks and 22 tackles for loss during the season, made the announcement following Penn State's loss to Notre Dame in the Orange Bowl. Despite a shoulder injury sustained in the Fiesta Bowl, Carter played in the Orange Bowl, recording five tackles, a sack, two tackles for loss, and a pass defensed. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, expressed confidence in Carter's future, stating that he expects Carter to be one of the top picks in the draft and a future All-Pro.
