Aptos blockchain experienced a dramatic surge in daily transactions, increasing by 1,466% over three days. This spike was driven by a new game called 'Tapos.' By the end of May, the 7-day moving average of user transactions on Aptos skyrocketed to 47 million, up from under 1 million at the start of the month. The game 'Tapos,' a clicker game, was the primary catalyst for this increase, rather than broad adoption of the Aptos blockchain. Total transactions reached 156 million by late May. The surge also impacted the $APT token.
