Researchers at Northwestern University have successfully demonstrated quantum teleportation using fiber optic cables, marking a notable advancement in the field of quantum communication. This experiment shows that quantum information can be transmitted over the internet alongside conventional data, utilizing the phenomenon of quantum teleportation, which involves transmitting the properties of one photon using another, entangled photon.
