Jan 16, 2025, 06:34 PM
David Lynch, the visionary director of 'Twin Peaks', 'Blue Velvet', and 'Mulholland Drive', has died at age 78. His family announced his passing on his official Facebook page, stating, "It is with deep regret that we, his family, announce the passing of the man and the artist, David Lynch. There's a big hole in the world now that he's no longer with us." Born in 1946, Lynch was a pioneering filmmaker known for his surreal and dark artistic style that transformed American cinema and television. His notable works include 'Eraserhead', 'The Elephant Man', and 'Wild at Heart'. In 2024, he revealed that he had been diagnosed with emphysema after a lifetime of smoking. Lynch was nominated for four Academy Awards during his career.
