A massive fire erupted at a shopping center in Zigong, Sichuan Province, southwestern China, on Wednesday afternoon. The blaze broke out in the Jiuding Department Store, a 14-story shopping mall, trapping an unknown number of people inside. Heavy black smoke was seen billowing from the building. Tragically, at least six people have been confirmed dead. The fire has since been extinguished, and rescue efforts are ongoing.
