The report highlights that Con Edison, which holds a monopoly on gas services in the Bronx, Manhattan, and parts of Queens, charges $1.29 per therm in the Bronx, $1.01 per therm in Manhattan, and $0.92 per therm in Queens. In contrast, National Grid charges only $0.45 per therm in Queens. The findings have prompted calls for an investigation into Con Edison's pricing practices.
