Jan 5, 2025, 08:54 PM
Bryce Young led the Carolina Panthers to a 44-38 overtime victory over the Atlanta Falcons, accounting for five total touchdowns in the season finale. Young completed 25 of 34 passes for 251 yards, achieving a 73% completion rate and a passer rating of 123.5. He threw three touchdown passes and rushed for two more, with no interceptions, amassing 275 total yards. This marked the best game of his career and capped a comeback from a five-game benching earlier in the season. The Panthers overcame a halftime deficit of 24-17 to finish the season with a 5-12 record. Miles Sanders scored the game-winning touchdown on a 1-yard run in overtime. The Falcons, who led at halftime and were fighting for a playoff spot, were unable to contain Young's performance and will miss the playoffs.
