Austin Theriault Wins Maine GOP Primary, Will Face Jared Golden

Austin Theriault, a former NASCAR driver, has won the Republican primary for Maine’s 2nd Congressional District. Theriault, who received a last-minute endorsement from former President Trump, defeated Michael Soboleski. He will face incumbent Democrat Congressman Jared Golden in the November election. With 2% of the votes reported, Theriault secured 64.3% of the votes, amounting to 649 votes.
