The Dallas Wings have secured the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft presented by State Farm, following the lottery held on November 17, 2024. Despite having a 22.7% chance, the Wings won the top pick and are expected to select UConn star Paige Bueckers, the consensus top prospect. The Los Angeles Sparks, who had the best odds at 44.2%, will select second for the second consecutive season, missing out on Bueckers. The Chicago Sky will pick third, and the Washington Mystics will have the fourth pick. The potential pairing of Bueckers with current Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale could create a formidable backcourt. This marks the Wings' first No. 1 pick since 2021. The 2025 WNBA Draft is scheduled for April 14th.
