Judge Lewis Liman Orders Giuliani to Surrender NYC Apartment to Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss in $150 Million Defamation Case
Oct 22, 2024, 06:56 PM
A federal judge, Lewis Liman, has ordered Rudy Giuliani, former attorney to Donald Trump and ex-New York City Mayor, to turn over control of his Manhattan penthouse apartment on Madison Avenue and various luxury items within seven days to two Georgia election workers, Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, whom he defamed during the 2020 election. The judge's order aims to satisfy a $150 million defamation judgment awarded to the election workers after Giuliani falsely accused them of election fraud. The assets to be surrendered include Giuliani's cash accounts, jewelry, over two dozen luxury watches, sports memorabilia such as signed photos and a Joe DiMaggio jersey, a 1980 Mercedes-Benz SL500, his television, and a $2 million claim for unpaid legal fees owed to him by Donald Trump and the Republican National Committee. The order excludes Giuliani's Yankees World Series rings.
