20-Year-Old Chourio's Two Homers, Mitchell's Blast Lift Brewers Over Mets 5-3
Oct 3, 2024, 02:14 AM
Jackson Chourio, at 20 years and 205 days old, made history for the Milwaukee Brewers by hitting two game-tying home runs in a postseason game against the New York Mets. His second homer in the eighth inning tied the game at 3-3. Chourio became the fifth-youngest player in MLB history to homer in the postseason and is the first Brewer ever to have a multi-homer playoff game. Garrett Mitchell then hit a go-ahead two-run homer in the eighth inning, giving the Brewers a 5-3 lead. The Brewers secured their first postseason win since 2021, forcing a decisive Game 3 in the National League Wild Card Series.
