Delaware Judge Refuses to Dismiss Lawsuit Over Control of Half of Prince’s Estate
Jul 6, 2024, 01:35 PM
A Delaware judge has refused to dismiss a lawsuit filed by former business advisers to the late pop music icon Prince against two of his siblings and other heirs. The lawsuit, which stems from disagreements involving Prince’s sister Tyka Nelson and five half-siblings, concerns the management of Prince’s estate and legacy. The judge ruled that the management of the company overseeing Prince’s assets will remain with Prince’s two longtime friends. This legal battle, which involves control of half of Prince’s estate, comes over eight years after Prince's death and nearly two years after it appeared the lengthy legal battle over his estate had ended.
