Apple has unveiled a comprehensive security guide for its Private Cloud Compute (PCC) system and made its Virtual Research Environment publicly available for researchers. This initiative includes an expanded Bug Bounty program, offering up to $1 million for vulnerabilities that compromise user data and inference request data outside the PCC trust boundary. The Virtual Research Environment allows researchers to run production PCC software on Macs with Apple silicon. The move aims to enhance the security of Apple's private AI cloud ahead of its debut next week.
