Faith Kipyegon of Kenya achieved a historic milestone by winning her third consecutive Olympic gold medal in the women's 1500m event at the Paris Olympics. She shattered the Olympic record by almost two seconds, underscoring her dominance in the sport. This victory makes her the first athlete to win the 1500m event three times. Additionally, Kipyegon also won another Olympic gold with an Olympic record time in the 5000m. Georgia Bell from Great Britain secured the bronze medal, setting a national record in the process.
