Oregon Ducks Finish First 12-0 Season Since 2010, Beat Washington 49-21
Dec 1, 2024, 03:47 AM
No. 1 Oregon Ducks defeated the Washington Huskies 49-21 on Saturday night at Autzen Stadium, completing an undefeated 12-0 regular season for the first time since 2010. Oregon dominated the game with a strong defensive performance, recording 10 sacks—including 7 by early in the second half—and 16 tackles for loss against Washington's first-time starting quarterback, Demond Williams. Despite a 41-yard field goal by Grady Gross and a 1-yard touchdown run by Jonah Coleman, Washington's offense struggled. The Huskies end their season at 6-6 overall and 4-5 in the Big Ten. The Ducks' victory secures their place in the Big Ten Championship game against Penn State. Oregon is the only FBS team to finish the 2024 regular season undefeated. Head coach Dan Lanning will receive a $200,000 bonus for the team's 12th win and may receive additional bonuses with a potential College Football Playoff berth.
