Nepal PM KP Sharma Oli Wins Vote of Confidence with Support of 188 Lawmakers

Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has secured a vote of confidence in the House of Representatives. Oli, who was appointed as Prime Minister according to Article 76 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal, 2015, faced the floor test today. He had a period of one month to take the vote. Out of 263 lawmakers present in the parliament, 188 voted in favor of the confidence motion, 74 voted against it, and 1 lawmaker abstained. Oli needed the support of 138 lawmakers in the 275-member parliament to win the vote.
