The 21-year-old Ivorian winger, who recently signed a new contract with the club, scored in the 82nd, 90th, and 94th minutes. Southampton took the lead in the first half through a Manuel Ugarte own goal, and United appeared headed for a fourth successive home defeat. Diallo's heroics not only rescued the team from embarrassment but also lifted them to 12th place in the Premier League standings. This hat-trick is the first for a Manchester United player in the Premier League since Cristiano Ronaldo achieved the feat in 2022.
