Gemini Expands to France with VASP License Ahead of MiCA Regulations, Winklevoss Brothers Lead
Nov 19, 2024, 08:18 AM
Gemini, the U.S.-based crypto exchange owned by Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, has expanded into France after being granted a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license. This move is part of Gemini's broader strategy to accelerate its European expansion. The launch comes just weeks before the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulations come into full force. Gemini's operations in France will now comply with French law, positioning the platform to better serve the European market.
