Philadelphia Radio Host Andrea Lawful-Sanders Fired After Revealing White House Provided Eight Questions for Biden Interview on Black Radio Shows
Jul 6, 2024, 11:00 PM
A Philadelphia radio host, Andrea Lawful-Sanders, who interviewed President Joe Biden, revealed that the White House provided her with a list of eight questions in advance, of which she chose four to ask. This revelation, reported on CNN, has led to widespread criticism and scrutiny of the Biden campaign's practices. The questions were sent to Lawful-Sanders and other radio hosts before their interviews with Biden, following his debate performance. Despite the campaign's defense of this practice as routine, it has raised concerns about journalistic integrity. The interviews were conducted on Black radio shows. Subsequently, WURD Radio, the station where Lawful-Sanders worked, decided to part ways with her, citing a violation of journalistic independence.
