Saudi Arabia and Highest-Paid Manager Roberto Mancini Part Ways by 'Joint Agreement'
Oct 25, 2024, 08:30 AM
Roberto Mancini has parted ways with the Saudi Arabia national football team after 14 months in charge. In a statement released on Thursday, the Saudi Arabian Football Federation announced that a 'joint agreement' had been reached to terminate his contract. During his tenure, Mancini oversaw the team's performance in the Asian Cup and the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, where results were below expectations. Mancini was reportedly the highest-paid manager in the world during his time with Saudi Arabia. The federation is now working to appoint a new head coach.
