Blackhawks' Connor Bedard Wins 2024 Calder Trophy with 152 First-Place Votes

Chicago Blackhawks' rookie Connor Bedard has won the 2024 Calder Trophy, awarded to the NHL's top rookie. Bedard, who was the first overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft, received 152 out of 194 first-place votes. He led all rookies with 61 points in just 68 games, including 22 goals and 39 assists, despite missing 14 games due to a broken jaw. Bedard, who is 18 years old, is the youngest player in Blackhawks history to win the Calder Trophy and the first Blackhawks player to win the award since Artemi Panarin in 2015-16. Brock Faber of the Minnesota Wild finished second in the voting with 42 first-place votes.
