VisitOnlyFans Found Hosting Child Sexual Abuse Content Despite 30 Complaints and 200 Videos
Jul 2, 2024, 12:01 PM
Investigations have revealed that the porn-driven website OnlyFans, which promises to be strictly adults-only, has been found to host child sexual abuse images and videos. Despite OnlyFans' claims of vetting every user and swiftly removing such content, a Reuters investigation uncovered numerous complaints in US police and court records. Since December 2019, there have been 30 documented complaints citing over 200 explicit videos and images of minors, including toddlers. Some children were left emotionally scarred. Experts and investigators highlight that millions of paywalls on the site impede scrutiny, making it difficult to measure the full extent of the issue. The findings raise serious concerns about the platform's effectiveness in protecting minors and its transparency in addressing these problems.
