Marcel Reed Leads Texas A&M's Comeback Win Over No. 8 LSU 38-23
Oct 27, 2024, 02:28 AM
Texas A&M Aggies defeated the LSU Tigers 38-23 in a top-15 matchup at Kyle Field, overcoming a 17-7 halftime deficit. After starting quarterback Conner Weigman was benched, freshman quarterback Marcel Reed replaced him and led Texas A&M to four consecutive touchdown drives, scoring three rushing touchdowns himself. LSU's quarterback Garrett Nussmeier threw for 259 yards and two touchdowns in the first half but was intercepted three times in the second half. Texas A&M's defense capitalized on Nussmeier's mistakes. With this victory, Texas A&M improves to 7-1 overall and 5-0 in the SEC, remaining undefeated in conference play.
