Satellite Photos Show Iran Expanding Missile Production with 30 New Buildings: Reuters
Jul 8, 2024, 03:25 PM
Recent satellite imagery reveals significant expansions at two key Iranian ballistic missile facilities: Modarres military base and Khojir missile production complex. The expansions, which began in August 2022 at Khojir and October 2022 at Modarres, include over 30 new buildings. Two American researchers assessed that these expansions are aimed at boosting missile production, a conclusion confirmed by three senior Iranian officials. Additionally, Iran has a deal to supply Russia with missiles, and Tehran also provides missiles to Yemen's Houthis and Hezbollah. The expansion follows the expiration of UN sanctions on Iran’s ballistic missile program in October 2022, sources say, according to Reuters.
