Jul 30, 2024, 08:10 PM
Multiple airstrikes targeted the headquarters of the Iranian-backed paramilitary force, Kata'ib Hezbollah, in Jurf al-Sakhar, a stronghold of the Hezbollah Brigades, located south of Baghdad. The airstrikes resulted in several explosions and were reportedly carried out by unidentified aircraft. Initial reports indicate that at least 7 members of Kata'ib Hezbollah were killed. Sources from the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) confirmed the airstrikes. Some eyewitnesses reported hearing the sound of a UCAV, suggesting the involvement of drones. Iraqi sources claim the explosions were caused by a U.S. airstrike, resulting in at least 8 casualties. The town of Jurf al-Nasr was also affected, as reported by Sabeeren News.
