FSU Falls to 0-3 After 20-12 Loss to Memphis at Doak Campbell, Paying $1.3 Million
Sep 14, 2024, 07:29 PM
Florida State University (FSU) has fallen to a 0-3 start to the 2024 season after losing to Memphis 20-12 at Doak Campbell Stadium. This marks the first time since 2021 that FSU has started a season 0-3. The Seminoles, who were ranked in the preseason AP Top 10, have lost to Georgia Tech, Boston College, and Memphis. Memphis, now 3-0, secured the victory despite missing a field goal with under three minutes left. The Tigers' head coach, Ryan Silverfield, celebrated a significant win over his former boss, Mike Norvell. FSU's struggles are compounded by the fact that they paid Memphis $1.3 million for the game. This loss makes FSU the first team in AP poll history to start 0-3 with all losses to unranked teams.
