Arkansas Upsets No. 4 Tennessee 19-14 as 14-Point Underdogs
Oct 6, 2024, 03:25 AM
In a significant upset, Arkansas defeated No. 4 Tennessee with a final score of 19-14 in Fayetteville. Despite playing with a backup quarterback and their star running back injured, Arkansas managed to secure the win. Tennessee allowed Arkansas to score late in the game to get the ball back with 1:17 left, but the Razorbacks' defense held strong. Malachi Singleton took the lead for Arkansas with just over a minute to go. This victory marks Arkansas' first AP Top-5 win at home since 1999 and makes them the fourth unranked team to beat a top-11 ranked team on a wild Saturday of college football. Arkansas, who were 14-point underdogs and had a +410 ML, saw their fans storm the field in celebration after the game.
