Three Senior Ukrainian Ministers Resign on September 3 Amid Government Shake-Up
Sep 3, 2024, 02:44 PM
On September 3, three senior Ukrainian ministers have tendered their resignations, according to the parliament's speaker, Ruslan Stefanchuk. The ministers stepping down are Oleksandr Kamyshin, the Minister of Strategic Industries; Denys Maliuska, the Minister of Justice; and Ruslan Strilets, the Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources. Additionally, Vitalii Koval, head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, has also submitted his resignation. Kamyshin, who oversaw domestic weapons production during the war with Russia, stated he will remain in the defense sector but in a different role. No reasons have been provided for these resignations, which signal another shake-up in Kyiv's wartime government.
