Uber Partners with Avride to Deploy Sidewalk Robots and Robotaxis Starting in Austin and Dallas

Uber Technologies Inc. announced on Thursday a multi-year strategic partnership with Avride, formerly known as Yandex Self-Driving Group, to introduce autonomous delivery robots, including sidewalk robots, and robotaxi services. The ride-hailing giant is expanding its network of autonomous vehicle partners. The partnership will bring Avride's delivery robots and autonomous vehicles to Uber and Uber Eats platforms, beginning in Austin, Texas, and later expanding to Dallas and Jersey City in 2024. Autonomous cars are expected to start operating in Dallas in 2025.
