Donald Trump Launches World Liberty Financial Crypto Project, WLFI Tokens for Accredited Investors

Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, has launched a new cryptocurrency venture named World Liberty Financial. The project, backed by Trump and his two eldest sons, aims to position the U.S. as the 'crypto capital of the planet.' The launch event was held on X Spaces tonight at 8 p.m. ET, where Trump detailed the project and its governance token, WLFI. Notably, 70% of WLFI tokens will be reserved for insiders, while the remaining 30% will be available through a public sale. However, only accredited investors in the U.S. can participate in the token sale, and the tokens will be non-transferable. Trump warned that if he is not re-elected, U.S. crypto startups will face severe regulatory challenges from the SEC. Over 1.2M tuned in for the event.
